It was made in France in the late Victorian period
set with a beautiful Siberian amethyst surrounded by rose cut diamond points

Edwardian Turquoise & Diamond Bugs Vesta Case necklace Birmingham 1961DATE: Edwardian, c. 1905 A particularly cool antique vesta case. Its modelled in blackened gunmetal, and features two little gemset bugs crawling over the top. Each bug is set with a turquoise cabochon and a rose cut diamond, and the little button on the lid is set with another turquoise. Its likely French in origin, and has a slightly curved shape so it can be worn comfortably in the pocket. STONES Turquoise & Diamond MEASUREMENTS 5. 2 x 3. 8cm
