Vintage Red Transferware British Anchor Platter Japan Chinoiserie victorian style plates It has an absolutely beautifulThis gorgeous, Chinoiserie inspired platter is by British Anchor and dates to as far back as 1913. The pattern is named Japan and depicts a fanciful pagoda surrounded by flowers next to a lake. It has a border blending Japanese inspired planters filled with lush blooms and Oriental buildings. John Thomas Hudden established a factory in Stafford Street in 1859 and then at the British Anchor Works in Anchor Road in c. 1874 1884. He was recorded as an
